Hello everyone and welcome to the 40th anniversary of the Frank Church Symposium hosted by the Idaho State University International Affairs Council! We are pleased to have invited you to attend our 2011 events and joined us in celebration of our 40th year hosting the symposium, which took place on March 2, 3, and 4 in the Idaho State University Pond Student Union Building Salmon River Suite.
The 2011 Frank Church Symposium focused on the border countries of the United States of America, Canada and Mexico. Topics and issues covered included immigration, environmental problems and concerns, people, trade concerns, drugs and guns, transportation, health issues, peoples of all three countries, military organization and involvement, and education. In addition to our panel topics, our symposium featured two guest lecturers and a keynote speaker that brought much knowledge and insight to our topics this year.
We encourage each and every one of you to join us for the future symposiums, whether it be sitting in on a panel discussion or listening to a delegate lecturer or present new information. Feel free to explore our website as well, which will be updated weekly with our planning of events, pictures, the history of the IAC and Senator Frank Church, as well as a blog that takes a personal look at the events of the symposium!
